Frigodar is a Spanish-Moroccan company leader in the production of IQF fruits and vegetables for food industry.

Frigodar is founded in Morocco and Spain thanks to technical knowledge and experience of its shareholders on agro-industrial projects combined with a growing demand of high quality IQF strawberry in Europe. Our production unit in Morocco is built and gets ready at the end of this year for the its first strawberry season in Morocco. In our first season we reach a production of 3.000 tons of IQF strawberry and 100 tons of IQF fig. This season we freeze a total production of 5.500 tons between IQF strawberry and fig consolidating our project. Frigodar obtains the ISO 22000 certification. Frigodar obtains the BRC grade A and the IFS higher level certifications.
IQF stands for Individual Quick Freezing. This modern technology makes the freezing process very fast, decreasing the size of ice crystals formed inside fruit tissue thus reducing cell structure damage. This freezing process is possible thanks to a flow of air at a very low temperature that makes every piece of fruit float in the air getting individually frozen rapidly.

Production Site Frigodar S.A.R.L. based at Moulay Bousselham (Morocco) is our production unit in the heart of the most important strawberry production area of Morocco.
Sales Office Frigodar Instalaciones Agrícolas S.L. is our commercial company with its main offices in Seville (Spain), where we offer our commercial and logistics services.

The BRC Global
ISO 22000:2005 specifies requirements for a food safety management system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption. It is applicable to all organizations, regardless of size, which are involved in any aspect of the food chain and want to implement systems that consistently provide safe products.
The BRC Global Standards are a leading global safety and quality certification programme, used throughout the world by over 17,000 certificated suppliers in 90 countries through a network of over 80 accredited and BRC recognised Certification Bodies. The BRC Global Standards are widely used by suppliers and global retailers. They facilitate standardization of quality, safety, operational criteria and manufacturers’ fulfillment of legal obligations.
IFS Standards are developed for and through all involved parties in the supply chain, which would like to use uniform standards to ensure safety and quality of food and non-food products and related services. IFS Standards help to comply with all legal food and non-food safety and quality requirements and give common and transparent standards to all concerned suppliers and service providers as well as a concrete and strong answer to the high safety and quality expectations of customers.
These standards assure the best management in food safety for our customers and for end consumers as well. All these standards include a HACCP system.
In FRIGODAR we have full tracking and tracing for our products from the farms up to our costumer.
For the strawberry, our traceability program allows us the supervision of the process from the origin of the plant using a identification system which give us information about the farmer, products used for the cultivation of the fruit, manufacturing and freezing in the plant, and transportation to the customer.
Our Quality Department collaborates with our customers in order to obtain the product which better match their needs.
